The Blue Cottage in Centreville, Nova Scotia

The cottages at Huntington’s Point were constructed as make-work projects between 1934 and 1938. They were built without plans as experiments in form and material — more large-scale sculptural works of art than architecture.  Of the five original cottages, one has been completely destroyed, two have been heavily renovated and altered, and just two remain in their original condition.
