Birmingham airport evacuated as police respond to report of suspicious vehicle

The airport confirmed shortly after 1.30pm on Wednesday (23 October) it had suspended operations with officers from West Midlands Police in attendance.The airport was evacuated and passengers were advised not to attend until further notice. West Midlands Police said the airport was evacuated “following a report of suspicious vehicle”, adding it was “a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of passengers and staff”.
