A six-year-old girl died Sunday after being hit by a vehicle in Tweed.
Central Hastings OPP officers, Tweed firefighters and Hastings Quinte paramedics went to the scene, on Jamieson Street West, just after 1:30 p.m.
Life-saving measures were attempted by an off-duty nurse and others, police said in a news release Monday, but the girl was pronounced dead after being rushed to hospital.
